This unique commission was rendered directly on a prefabricated concave dome for installation above a bathroom tub. A celebration of romanticism with reference to the work of Sir Lawrence Alma Tadema, this sensual image is positioned directly above the tub for a dramatic one point perspective experience. Rendered with sublime internal illumination, the light from the clouds envelops the angels in a haze of mystery.
The elaborate band surrounding the reclining maidens proved to be an interesting challenge as the intricate geometric frieze followed the rules of perspective but was painted upon a curved surface.
